Werksta Spare Parts
On-demand 3D-printed car parts for Werksta — a Citroën C4 Picasso cover printed in carbon-reinforced polycarbonate.
Werksta is a car-repair chain across Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland and the Netherlands, working to be more sustainable while delivering faster.
As a proof of concept we produced a cover for a Citroën C4 Picasso — a high-wear part — 3D-printed in carbon-fibre-reinforced polycarbonate, with strength close to the original, plus a gear shifter for a Peugeot by the same method. The advantage over sourcing originals is time and cost: two days instead of two weeks, made in Norway, on demand, with no inventory and less material and transport per part.
