Redefining the shape of recognition

Every year, Norway´s best designers gather for the annual Visueltprisen, an award to celebrate innovative solutions and beautiful design. When Visueltprisen wanted to renew its trophy, they reached out to Norwegian Trash and Brokkr to explore how plastic waste could be transformed into a symbol of creativity and sustainability. Previously, the trophy was made from transparent acrylic. The new price is made with recycled plastic that has been melted and pressed together.

The material is honest. It doesn't try to imitate virgin plastic, but instead embraces the character of recycled plastic. Its texture, color and history are expressed through its colors, consistency, and composition. The result is a trophy that showcases craftsmanship and change, and reminds us that good design can also be circular.

Material: Recycled plastic, 40 mm, compressed
