The Alveare Lamp

An Ingrid Aspen Collaboration

We developed this project together with Ingrid Aspen is Alviare, a series of lamps with seven distinct forms. Each piece is composed of spherical volumes that meet and create both concave and convex surfaces. The result is a dynamic expression with strong sculptural qualities.

The challenge lay in the production. The shapes were so complex that traditional tool paths were not sufficient for 3D printing. To solve this, we developed custom software that allowed us to control the tool paths with precision. We were able to vary the layer height within the print itself and let the print head move in a more organic pattern. This created a surface with an almost glasslike character.

Alviare became a project where precision, technical innovation and a strong visual identity came together. It is exactly the kind of work where Brokkr thrives.
