Wersta Spare Parts

You have an auto part that needs repairing and the mechanic gives you two options.

Option 1) two weeks delivery
Option 2) two days delivery and cost 40% less

Which option would you choose?

Werksta is an auto repair chain operating in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, and the Netherlands. They aim to become more sustainable while also delivering faster service to their customers.

As a proof of concept, we produced a cover for a Citroën C4 Picasso, a part that is exposed to a lot of wear and tear. The cover was 3D printed in carbon-fiber–reinforced polycarbonate, providing strength comparable to the original part. We also developed a gear shifter for a Peugeot using the same method.

The advantage of using Brokkr instead of sourcing original parts is delivery time and cost. Instead of waiting two weeks, Werksta can get the part in two days. The solution is also far more environmentally friendly: production happens in Norway, on demand, with no need for inventory or unnecessary transport. 3D printing the part locally reduces the material input, reducing the carbon footprint of the part.
