Lighthouse

We've collaborated quite a bit with Lighthouse Company, which, among other things, has a modular lamp series called Lab. The lamps allow for a lot of exploration, and we enjoy testing different shapes and shades together with them.

Our first project was an assembly challenge related to the Jedi Snake lamp. The lamp consists of a light tube that coils around a steel pipe, inspired by both a lightsaber and the shape of a snake. The challenge was that they lacked a good solution for attaching the light tube to the steel pipe.

So we developed a bracket that locks the two elements together and gives the lamp a cohesive look. The bracket was 3D printed in polycarbonate after a series of tests to find the best locking mechanism.

The solution works so well that Lighthouse Company now uses the same bracket when installing additional Jedi Snake lamps.
