The Missing Link

A customer approached us with a common problem. One of the screws in his desk was broken. The issue was caused by a small nylon coupling. A simple screw, impossible to find anywhere. Too many solve this issue with replacing the desk with a new one. What a world we live in!

Here at Brokkr we know better. Firstly, we helped the client redesign the part, before we 3D printed it in polycarbonate, a material known for its strength and durability. The result was a fully functional desk with a sturdy, long-lasting replacement for the original part. Combining the right tools and knowledge, we can extend the lifetime for everyday items. Comparing the material input to build a new desk, versus replacing a faulty screw, it’s strange to believe that this isn’t the standard method.
